Who can make a referral?

The referral program is open to current customers with a 316 Rewards Checking, 316 Interest Checking, or 316 Savings account.

Who can I refer?

You can refer friends, family, coworkers—anyone you think would benefit from banking with 316. Just make sure they’re brand new to 316 Financial. Referrals must be first-time customers, and you can’t refer someone who’s already opened an account or been referred by someone else.

How do I refer someone?

Look for your referral email from us—it includes a unique referral link just for you. Click it, fill in your referral’s contact info, and we’ll take care of the rest. Can’t find the link? No problem—email us at [email protected] and we’ll send you a new one.

How many people can I refer?

You can refer as many people as you’d like. You’ll earn a $100 reward for each referral who qualifies—up to 5 rewards per month.

What do my referrals need to do?

Your referral needs to open a 316 Rewards Checking, 316 Interest Checking, or 316 Savings account and reach a balance of $2,500 within 60 days. 

When will I get my referral reward?

Once your referral hits the $2,500 balance requirement, we’ll email you. Rewards are paid within 5 days and deposited into your most recently opened 316 account.

How are referrals tracked?

Referrals are linked to your email address, so it’s important to use your friend’s primary email when submitting their info.

How long is this program available?

We’d love to keep it going—but the referral program may change or end at any time. If we do make changes, rest assured that any referrals already in progress will still be honored.

Are there any tax forms needed for my referral reward?

A 1099 will need to be issued for anyone that earns $600 or more.

Can 316 Financial employees participate and earn a referral reward?

316 Financial teammates are not able to participate in this referral program.

This program is meant for genuine referrals—inviting people who truly want to join 316 Financial. If we detect abuse (like referring people just to earn the reward, then closing accounts right after), we reserve the right to deny rewards and close accounts if necessary.
